From invisible to 1,600 indexed pages

Link graph from the home page through sections to category pages, with 1,660 pages indexed and daily clicks up from 6.7 to 12.4.
The paths that were missing, and what opening them changed.

The problem

The site had almost nothing in the index. Category pages existed but nothing linked to them deeply enough to be crawled.

What we did

Rebuilt the internal link graph, opened 600 new paths to depth three, published structured data and machine-readable pages, then measured what search engines actually fetched from the server logs rather than trusting a dashboard.

Result

Indexed pages reached 1,660 and daily clicks rose from 6.7 to 12.4.

The account it was read from

Google Search Console performance report for the last three months on this property: 414 total clicks, 9.02K impressions, 4.6% average click-through rate and an average position of 15, with the daily clicks and impressions lines both rising across the quarter.
Google Search Console, three months to 20 September 2026, straight from the account. Cropped to the chart because everything around it names the property, and no client is named on this site.

How it was measured

Index coverage and clicks came from Search Console, and were cross-checked against the server log, because a dashboard estimates and a log records. The log also answered the question the dashboard cannot: which crawler fetched which page, and when. The crawl depth of every category page was measured by walking the internal link graph from the home page, which is how it became clear that the pages existed and nothing pointed at them deeply enough to be reached.
