WHAT THINGS COST

How much does a landing page cost?

One page, one job, and a number that does not need a meeting.

A custom landing page designed and built from scratch costs $1,200 and takes seven days. A template you fill in yourself costs fifty dollars and looks like it. There is not much honest ground between those two.

What you are actually paying for

Not the code. Building one page is the fast part of the job and any competent developer can do it. The cost is the decisions: what goes above the fold, what order the argument runs in, which of your six proof points survive, and what gets cut so the remaining ones are read.

A landing page has no menu to wander into and no second page to hide a weak argument behind. That is why it is the cheapest honest test of whether an offer works, and why the design cannot be borrowed from a theme that was arranged around somebody else's argument.

Template, freelancer, studio

A template is the right answer when you already know the page converts and you only need it to exist. It is the wrong answer when the page is the experiment, because you will not learn anything from a layout that was not built around your offer.

A freelancer is often excellent and often cheaper. The variance is the problem: the same brief produces a different result depending on who picks it up, and you find out afterwards. A studio price buys a predictable result and somebody who is still there in a month.

What is not in the price

Writing your claims. We structure the copy, decide the order and write the connective text, but the facts, the offer and the proof come from you, because we cannot invent what your product does.

Also excluded: advertising setup or media buying, a content management system, and custom illustration or photography. A landing page that needs all four is a project rather than a page, and it should be quoted as one.

When a landing page is the wrong purchase

When you have a business that needs explaining rather than one offer that needs selling. Five to seven pages at $3,500 exists for that, and cramming an entire company onto one scrolling page is a common and expensive mistake.

Also when you expect to edit the text every week. The page is static, which is why it loads instantly, and static means editing code or asking us. Say so in the brief and we will scope an editable region rather than leaving you stuck.

What moves the number

Pushes it up
Custom illustration, an animated or 3D hero, several offers on one page
Pushes it down
Nothing much. This is close to the floor for designed work
Changes the timeline, not the price
How fast you send the offer, the proof and the brief

The packages behind these numbers

Each one lists its full scope, what it excludes and how the work runs.
